Why Choose Us?

We pride ourselves on providing clear, professional financial advice tailored to an individual’s needs and requirements.

Our advice service can be split into two broad categories: financial planning and investment advice.

Financial planning: covers a wide range of topics that often impact each other. This ranges from retirement and tax planning to portfolio consolidation and investment choices. An adviser will look at the full picture and create personalised strategies to help you manage your money effectively and achieve your immediate and future financial goals.

Investment advice: is more specific. An adviser will look at factors such as how much risk you’re comfortable with and what you want to achieve, then recommend suitable investment strategies to help you get there.

We provide an initial meeting (free of charge) to explore whether we can help you with your financial and investment planning.

We outline the scope of the work we would propose to undertake for you, the benefits to you and the costs involved. We then set to work on your behalf once you give us the go-ahead, and we have completed new client formalities.

If you have legacy pension or investments, we will gather the necessary information and review as appropriate.

We then undertake relevant research and prepare our recommendation, which we would discuss with you at a planning meeting. We would explore and tweak the proposed strategy as necessary, so it fits with your personal circumstances and objectives.

Based on your agreement, we then move to implement the agreed investment or pension strategy. We would keep you informed and confirm once all work has been completed. We would then agree a review schedule to keep your financial plan under review.

Regular review meetings are central to the value we can bring you. This is to ensure that pensions and investments are managed in accordance with any change in your personal situation and reflect market dynamics, as well as any change in tax legislation.

When you meet your financial adviser for the first time, it’s totally free. You can talk about your money goals and what’s happening with your finances. The adviser will explain where they can help and how much it might cost. You’ll only pay if you decide to take financial advice by signing a client agreement.

You can choose to meet with your adviser at our offices or in the comfort of your own home or by telephone or video call.

Our financial advisers typically charge 3% of the assets advised on (minimum charges apply). This is a one-off charge which will depend on the complexity of your situation, the time needed to understand your goals, and to provide personal recommendations.

Your financial adviser will let you know if they think you’d benefit from ongoing advice. This comes with an extra charge.

Any recommendations concerning the transfer of secured benefits, such as a defined benefit pension (e.g. final salary pension), will have a separate fee structure, which your adviser will discuss with you.

Our financial adviser will suggest ways to organise estates smartly, like gifting or setting up trusts, to keep more money for loved ones and less for taxes. However, for complex tax calculations, you may need to consult an accountant.

We can help you make the most of any cash or investments you inherit, but we aren’t able to advise you about physical assets such as property or other valuable items such as art, antiques or jewellery.

Inheriting cash or investments can be complex and sometimes the transfer isn’t straightforward. Your adviser will help guid you through the process.

Long-term care planning is a key element of later-life financial advice. It helps individuals plan and manage the costs of long-term care services, like nursing homes or home health care.

Financial advisers will look at people’s finances, including their savings, income, and insurance, to create personalised plans.
